Hi, I’m Cintia, a Vietnamese–Hungarian illustrator and artist based in Liverpool, UK. I create painterly, narrative-led illustrations, combining hand-drawn textures with digital techniques. I love exploring how colour, texture and composition can express feeling and bring stories to life.

My work is inspired by nature, history and my cultural roots, particularly the stories and visual traditions I grew up with in Hungary. I’m drawn to fairy tales, narrative non-fiction and stories that explore emotions, relationships, belonging and our connection to the natural world.

I was a mentee on the 2022–2024 Pathways Into Children’s Publishing programme by Pop Up Projects. During the programme, I worked on briefs set by publishers and art directors across a range of genres, with my final project focusing on a middle-grade chapter book.

My commissioned work includes projects for the National Trust, the Natural History Museum and the Story Museum in Oxford, as well as illustrations for storytelling and educational resources. I’m also an Associate Artist on The Colour of Pomegranates programme at Sefton Libraries, where I lead creative wellbeing workshops, bringing women from different cultures and backgrounds together through art and creating space for expression, connection and care.

When I’m not drawing, I enjoy spending time with my dog Nacho and taking long walks in nature. Recently, I’ve also been experimenting with printmaking and animation, exploring how traditional processes can bring new textures and movement into my work.
