Constellations of Blossom — National Trust Speke Hall
This Constellations of Blossom was a community art project created for National Trust Speke Hall, celebrating blossom, spring, community, and the poems and songs of Simon Armitage.
I created an illustrated banner for the orchard garden and transformed the surrounding trees with hand-painted cotton fabrics and wooden tiles. As part of the project, I worked with Year 5 pupils from local primary schools through creative workshops exploring spring and blossom. The children decorated wooden tiles using painting and printmaking techniques, which became part of the final installation.
Throughout the orchard, the trees were adorned with these colourful pieces, creating constellations of artwork made together with the local community.
